Many limitations on the free circulation of people are coming during these last weeks owing to the well known worldwide sanitary warning. We understand the concerns about travelling and we can follow the instructions coming from the national authorities and wait that a fast and positive solution could be found. In this situation of uncertainty, we believe that it should be wise to postpone the deadline for the early bird registration and for Abstract submission to April 30, 2020.

We are delighted to announce the IX Symposium of the European Association of Acarologists that will be held in Bari, Italy, from 13th to 17th July 2020.
The title of the congress is “Acarology 1.0 to 2.0: Progress in Changing Times” and the program will include key lectures delivered by top scientists aiming at showing the most recent developments of contemporary Acarology.
As always, the Symposium will be a wonderful opportunity for researchers, students and representatives of institutions in Europe and worldwide to meet and discuss the latest results and new directions in research, promoting international and local cooperation.
The Symposium will address all the aspects of fundamental and applied research in every field of Acarology (behaviour, biochemistry, biology, integrated and biological control, ecology, evolution, morphology, physiology, systematics and taxonomy), as it represents one of the most important opportunities to be up-to-date on the most relevant scientific issues in Acarology.
You are warmly invited to attend EurAAc 2020. We will do our very best to make the IX EurAAc Symposium as fruitful and enjoyable as possible.
We would greatly appreciate your participation, and hope to meet a great number of scientists in Bari, and especially the young generation of acarologists!
